The 66th season of racing at Kansas City’s oldest sporting venue, Lakeside Speedway, this Friday, May 29, for the Tompkins Industries Season Opener. In celebration of the return of racing, promoters have set a special $10 ticket price for the grandstands to welcome fans back. Come watch the dirt fly as A-Mods, B-Mods, Stock Cars, Pure Stocks and E-Mods hit the track.

Advanced tickets are on sale now at myracepass.com. Search for Lakeside Speedway or click on events, then search for May 29, then purchase tickets. Fees will apply. Tickets are also available at the track, please call 913-299-9206 (service fee applies).

Tickets will remain on sale until Thursday, May 28, or when we run out. If we sell out prior to the event, there will be no grandstand ticket sales at the gate. Pit passes are also on sale. This is the preferred method of purchase. However, pit passes are available on race nights.

General admission $10 for all adults, juniors ages 12-15 are $6 and kids 11 & under get in for free. Pit passes are $35 or $15 for children ages 6 and under. Minors ages 17 and under must have a signed Minor Release Form.

Drivers are encouraged to make their way to lakesidespeedway.net to download, print and complete the 2020 Driver Registration Form and IRS Form W9. Bring them with you upon signing in for the first time. While online, drivers are also encouraged to visit myracepass.com and claim their driver profile.

Lakeside Speedway will follow CDC recommendations and social distancing guidelines, which may affect logistics and normal operating procedures. All attendees are responsible for their own personal protective equipment and for making their own decisions regarding attendance at our events. We are asking that when parking in the pits, leave extra space between race cars and please to do not gather in groups and do not travel from pit stall to pit stall. Race teams are limited to 10 people per team and this will be monitored at the pit check-in building when signing in.

All pit fans, crew members and drivers will be required to remain in the pit area for the entire event, this means no crossing over to the grandstands or terrace. We are sectioning off Section F of the grandstands for seating for all pit fans, this will be the furthest you can go towards the main building. When seated, please maintain proper social distance between yourself and other groups. Pit Stop Catering will be on hand for pit area concessions.

The Friday timeline is pits open at 5 p.m., grandstands open at 6, drivers pill draw closes at 6:45 (no passing points if late), the pit meeting is at 7, hot laps begin at 7:15 and racing gets underway immediately after hot laps.
