Isaacs Captures Joe Berry Clash of the B-Mods…Bidinger, Shields, Reiff, and Hand also Victorious at Lakeside Speedway!

Seventy-nine race teams signed in for action at Lakeside Speedway for ‘Racing on the River’s Edge’ on Friday. The program was highlighted by the Sixth-Annual Joe Berry Clash of the B-Mods, which drew an impressive field of 30 competitors in search of the $3,000-to-win victory. 

Ethan Isaacs found himself celebrating the Joe Berry Clash victory at the end of the night as he captured the big-money victory. Nic Bidinger headlined the A-Mods for his second win of the season, Kacey Shields drove to his second Stock Car win of the year, Kansas City’s Spencer Reiff captured his first Pure Stock win of the season, while Trevor Hand kept his domination going in the E-Mods with his fourth victory out of five appearances this season.

After capturing the win from outside of row one, Bidinger now extends his point’s lead over Schiffelbein by 31 and Karrick by 44 points. Martin moved forward by the end of the race but ran out of laps, with Karrick in a solid third, Grindstaff recovering from an early spin in fourth.

Isaacs survived a pair of late cautions and claimed the prize from the outside of row one. Gillmore advanced from second in a furious battle with Andy Bryant and Nebraska’s Anthony Roth and former winner J.C. Morton in a solid roster of top-five finishers.

Kacey Shields was dominant in his second victory this season and went unchallenged the entire distance while Wettengel was the big mover of the night advancing from tenth on the grid to the runner-up spot. Dennie Belknap also moved forward to round out the top three. Shields now has a nine-point lead over Belknap.

Spencer Reiff captured his first victory of the season in a battle of youth and exuberance and Wiley veteran as he took the win over perennial winner and champion Marshall Jewett, who took over the point lead by two markers over previous leader Marrs, Reiff has climbed to within 30 points of the lead.

Hand increased his win percentage to a whopping 80% this season with his latest E-Mod victory as he rolled from fourth on the grid. Tim Billings kept his consistent finishes alive with the runner-up finish with Justin Bell moving from seventh to third. Hand leads the standings by 89 points over Melvin.
