Lakeside Speedway hosted another action-packed evening of ‘Racing on the River’s Edge’ on Friday with the annual Tom Karrick Memorial. Tyler Hibner was the big winner of the night by collecting the $2,000 payday in the 30-lap A-Mod feature. Tim Powell, Kacey Shields, Don Marrs, and Dylan Raffurty also scored victories in their respective classes.

A-Mod Results (18 Cars) Tyler Hibner’s first Lakeside Speedway victory of the year was a long wait, but it proved to be well worth it as he collected the Tom Karrick Memorial victory from pole position of the 30-lap main event. Season champion Nic Bidinger moved from fourth to the runner-up spot by race end while Gunner Martin, Dennis Elliott, and former champion Darron Fuqua finished the top five.

B-Mod Results (22 Cars) The B-Mods provided some movement at the front of the field as Shaunie Lanning was in search of her first Lakeside Speedway victory of the year. Up front, it was Tim Powell who methodically made his way to the front coming from fifth on the grid to collect his fourth win of the season, the most of any B-Mod drivers this year. Regional and National NASCAR Weekly Series front-runner Terry Schultz finished a strong second to stay in the points mix while Lanning score an outstanding run to third. Jake Richards and Sebastian Wolfenbarger completed the top five.

Stock Car Results (19 Cars) Domination is one way to describe Kacey ‘Cam’ Shields’ race season as he added his seventh victory of the year and scored his fourteenth top ten finish in as many outings! Shields came from fifth on the grid for his latest score while Jason Park gave it all he could just coming up short in second and advancing all the way from tenth. Ed Griggs, fourteenth-starting Vernon Kever, and Shane Schmidt completed the top five.

Pure Stock Results (9 Cars) Don Marrs collected his fourth Pure Stock victory on the year from the pole position. Marrs’ stats are impressive as he scored his thirteenth top-five run and remained 100 percent on top-ten finishes. Chase Galvan kept his late-season strong finishes going with a runner-up finish despite some intense action at the front with Marrs, while Garry Billings, Jr’s return to action was successful with a third-place outing. Spencer Reiff and Cody Ohrenberg completed the top five.

Mod-Lite Results (18 Cars) As mentioned, there were and have been some dominating performances by drivers this season and season’s past, but no one in the Kansas City metro has put together a stronger season than Mod-Lite master, Dillon Raffurty. Starting fourth in the main event, Raffurty moved to the front of the field in quick form for the 10-lap main event for his 27th victory on the year just days removed from sweeping the Boone National Mod-Lite events. Ed Griggs settled for a second-place finish with Garrett Stonum, David, and Justin Raffurty finishing out the top five.
