(Kansas City, Kansas) Lakeside Speedway returns to action on Friday with a huge night of racing headlined by the Malvern Bank Super Late Model Series (SLMR), USAC Midwest Wingless Sprints, Kansas Antique Racers (KAR), and Mod Lites.

Late Model fans in the Kansas City have waited all season for an appearance at Lakeside Speedway after COVID-19 restrictions and inclement weather altered plans earlier this season. Seven-time champion Kyle Berck is a past winner of SLMR action at Lakeside Speedway. Past SLMR Lakeside Speedway winners include Ryan Gustin 2014, Justin Zeitner 2014, Jesse Sobbing 2017, and Kyle Berck 2018. Note, mention of name does not guarantee driver appearance.

A quick-view look at the current top five in the SLMR standings shows that Tad Pospisil of Norfolk, Nebraska, holds an 88-point lead over Justin Kay. Jason Hahne, Jeff Tharp, and Charlie McKenna round out the current top five in the SLMR West standings.

The USAC Midwest Wingless Sprints make their final appearance ‘Racing on the River’s Edge’ this weekend and even though the 2020 champion has already been crowned (Wyatt Burks), it was a close battle all season long with Don Droud, Jr., Wesley Smith, Chris Parkinson, and Brian Beebe. Droud and Burks recorded Lakeside Speedway victories earlier this season. For more information visit www.midwestwinglessracing.com. Joining in on the action are the Kansas Antique Racers (KAR) and plus Mod-Lites.
