(Kansas City, Kansas) Lakeside Speedway hosted a special evening of racing on Friday during Autism Awareness Race Night. Divers competed for a special cause and fans contributed to a total donation of $2,500 through a portion of ticket sales by the end of the evening.

Modified division drivers raced for extra money during their main events with $1,300 going to the A-Mod winner, $1,000 for B-Mods, and $500 for E-mods. All total, 62 race teams competed throughout the night during 17 events, which included 11 heat races and six main events.

A-Mod Results (13 Cars)

The A-Mod main event took just over 10 minutes for the outcome as Darron Fuqua dominated the action from row one. Gunner Martin advanced from his fifth starting position to move into second while current point’s leader Nic Bidinger wound up third to maintain his point’s lead.

Tim Powell collected his first main event victory of the season by capturing the 15-lap main event from his outside row one starting position. Tyson Lanfermann secured his first top-five finish coming across the line second, also his best finish of the year. After starting first, Mark Schafman slipped to third in the final rundown but now owns a 16-point lead over Luke Nieman in the championship standings.

Stock Car Results (10 Cars)

Bill Carter and Brett Heeter secured the front row for the Stock Car event with Heeter moving forward to pace the field. For the first 14 laps it looked as though former champion Heeter would return to victory lane, but fifth-starting Shields had other things in mind as he passed for the lead on the final lap and took the checkers ahead of Heeter and sixth-starting Chad Walker. Ultimately, Shields extended his point lead over Walker by 48 markers in collecting his third win of the season.

Pure Stock Results (8 Cars)
Chase Galvan and Jeff Goepferich led the small but competitive field of Pure Stocks to the green flag for the main event as Galvan established himself the leader. Marshall Jewett steadily moved forward as the race progressed with Spencer Reiff also moving forward. Ultimately, the theme of the night in stock car action was final lap passes for the lead as multi-time champion Jewett took the white flag in second but made his wat to the top by the next circuit for the victory, his second of the season. Jewett now owns a ten-point lead in the point standings.

E-Mod Results (13 Cars)
Multi-time winner Trevor Hand started alongside Eddie Ingram to setup the 15-lap E-Mod main. Hand was in search of his fifth main event win of the season. Ingram had something else in mind for the outcome ultimately collecting the win in just his second appearance this year. Hand finished second and extended his lead to 96 over Dennis Melvin in the championship standings. Spencer Reiff rallied during the 15-lap race and moved from tenth on the grid to collect third at the line.
