(Kansas City, Kansas) After a difficult decision to pull the plug last weekend with pesky weather in the area, Lakeside Speedway is hoping for a reprieve from Mother Nature’s mood swings this Friday with plans once again to host the E-Mod Explosion and Noah’s Bandage Night at the races.
E-Mods take center stage for the night as drivers go for the $750-to-win and $120-to-start purse. The purse could swell to $1,000-to-win and $150-to-start the race if 25 or more cars enter and participate. There is an entry fee for E-Mod drivers of $50, which includes the driver’s pit pass.
For the Noah’s Bandage Night activities, Lakeside Speedway requests that fans and drivers bring colorful (kid-themed) band-aids to donate to the organization. Those who donate band-aids will have a chance to win various raffle items.
Joining E-Mods on the bill this Friday are A-Mods, B-Mods, Stock Cars, and Pure Stocks racing for NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series action. Friday marks the final points night of the regular racing season.
Friday’s timeline: Pit gate opens at 5 p.m. followed by grandstand admissions beginning at 6 p.m. The driver pill draw closes at 6:45 followed by the pit meeting at 7, practice hot laps at 7:15, and racing approximately 7:45.
Friday ticketing: General Admission: Adults (16+) $15, Seniors/Military $12, Juniors (12-15) $5, Under 12 Free. Suites: Adults (13+) $20, Kids (2-12) $10, Under 2 Free. Terrace: Adults (16+) $15, Seniors and Military $12, Juniors (12-15) $5, Under 12 Free. For Suite and Terrace availability call (913) 299-9206. Friday Pit Pass: 7 and Older $35, Under 7 $15. All kids 17 and under must have signed Minor Release to enter the pit area.
For those unable to make it in person, you may watch the event live via pay-per-view by pointing your web browser to www.lakesideSpeedway.TV. Once on the website, in the top left area of the page next to the Lakeside Speedway logo, click on “Upcoming Live” and from there select the event from the menu that appears and follow the payment prompts and questions. The fee is $19.99.
