Nextran GMC Championship Series

June 12 Results

June 13, 2026

Nextran GMC Championship Series had 87 cars checked into 5 divisions featuring the Pied Piper Pest Control Pure Stocks, Deutz Equipment E-Modified’s, Mod Lites, Schweizer Performance USRA Stock Cars and the Show-Me Whitetail Expo USRA B-Modifieds. It was great racing action all throughout the field whether you were watching from the stands or on Lakesidespeedway.tv. We greatly appreciate each and every individual that came out to the track to support us and it wouldn’t be possible without all of our fans and proud sponsors.

Pied Piper Pest Control Pure Stocks had 15 cars with #0 Chase Galvan and #56 Joseph Smith Jr being the first two cars to win their heat races with both drivers starting in the third position to get the heat win. The heat race winners started the front row but starting position didn’t seem to matter as the #7 Marshall Jewett would make his way through the top five after starting sixth to park it in Nextran Victory Lane and taking over the point lead by 1 over Joseph Smith Jr. Galvan would settle for the runner up spot leaving the final podium position Smith Jr. #20x would have some damage to his car but hold onto the fourth place position and rounding out the top five would be the man out of Dekalb, MO, Tyler Peach.

Deutz Equipment E-Mods was full of carnage as another 15 car field held two heat races with #51 Corey Myers and #28 Tobin Bartlett would claim each heat race win. Myers looked to have the fastest car come feature time but he had plenty of company with #41 Chris Dishong and #61 Jeff Degroot stride for stride with him and you could throw a blanket over the top three cars. A battle of attrition would come to an end with the #41 “Rowdy” Chris Dishong parking it in Nextran Victory Lane. Corey Myers would settle for the runner up position. #5j Jeff Goepferich Sr would move up five spots to take the final podium position and #8 Devin Dultmeier after getting his first feature win would come home fourth. #21 Vic Trankino would pilot his refreshed racecar to the top five.

13 cars in the Mod Lites and Dillon Raffurty would continue his tear as he would win his heat race along with the #47 Cory Sonner. Dillon Raffurty has said it multiple times how he is a big fan of the 4/10 mile of dirt and his strive to win here continued, Dillon will make it back to back wins and continue to lead the points in the Mod Lite division. #75 Justin Raffurty will come home with the silver while third place would be left  to #41 Michael Raffurty. Fourth place goes to #47 Cory Sonner and fifth place to #34 Tyler Furrell.

Schweizer Performance USRA Stock cars had a stout field of competition bringing 17 cars to the track. Smith prepared racecar with the driver #16s Chris Dishong winning the first heat race, #42c and #69er Tyler Cadwallader followed suit to win their heat races. It was as if there was a magnet on the top three cars, Shields, Dishong and John Allen were stride for stride with each other and it was all about who would hit their marks. Kacey Shields would do just that and park it in Nextran Victory Lane and extend his point lead. Dishong would settle for second with #98 John Allen made his first appearance at Lakeside this year for third. Fourth place would be a battle to the end, #15 Eddy Noll would hold onto it and #711 Dylan Holt would salvage a good points night for fifth.

27 Show-Me Whitetail Expo USRA B-Modifieds filled the pits with the best of the best dirt slinging machines. Four loaded heat races would have the #1k Tim Karrick, #57s Darren Shaw, #70 Micah Becker and #311 John Baker winning their heat races. A scheduled B-Main would be canceled as six out of the nine cars showed up so everybody transferred straight into the show. A show it was as Karrick would jump out to the early race lead and have a steady pace with a 2.7 second advantage over the field and the 33b of Birkinsha would be slow off turn number two and a caution would be called. On the restart the 12c would nail the bottom of the racetrack to perfection and go back and forth with the point leader, Karrick. A couple laps to go and Karrick would come out too high off turn number 4 and get into the wall allowing the #12c to get by on his inside and park it in Nextran Victory Lane! Karrick would finish in second and third would be “Smooth” Chad Clancy in his 57 Motorsports car, moving up 8 spots to get the final podium spot. #81 Austin Charles would rally up one spot for fourth and fifth place would be left to last week's feature winner #57s Darren Shaw.
