Full-throttle racing continues Friday at Lakeside Speedway

This Friday at Lakeside Speedway the full-throttle action continues with O'Reilly Auto Parts Night. The race program includes preliminary heat races and feature events for A-Mods, B-Mods, Stock Cars, Pure Stocks, E-Mods and Grand Nationals.

The Lakeside Speedway fire crew has added money to the B-Mod purse, making it now $750 to win. In addition, if 30 cars show up General Manager Pete Howey will add an additional $1,000 to the total purse to be divided from 2nd place down to 24th.

Friday Timeline: Pit gate opens at 5 p.m., spectator gate opens at 6, the drivers' meeting is at 7 and hot laps begin at 7:15 with racing to follow. Advance tickets are available at MyRacePass under the Lakeside Speedway profile by clicking here or by calling call 913-299-9206. Tickets are also available at the admission gate. All pre-sale ticket sales end at midnight Thursday. Terrace spots are available but must be reserved by calling the track in advance.

Admission Information: General admission for adults (16+) is $12. Military, seniors (62+) and juniors (12-15) are $6. Youth ages 11 and under are free. Terrace tickets for adults are $15. Military and seniors are $12. Juniors are $8. Youth are free. Suites tickets for adults and teens (13+) are $20. Kids (2-12) are $10. Childen under 2 are free. Pit passes for ages 7+ are $35. Kids ages 6 and under are $15. Those ages 17 and under must have a signed Minor Release Form to enter the pits. Attendees are reminded that concessions are limited due to product availability and restrictions related to COVID-19. 

Drivers are encouraged to make their way to click here to access, print and complete the 2020 Driver Registration Form and IRS Form W-9 and then bring them with you upon signing in for the first time. Plese visit MyRacePass.com and claim their driver profile. Pit passes are also on sale at MyRacePass (fees apply). This is the preferred method of purchase but pit passes are available at the track on race nights.

Lakeside Speedway will follow CDC Recommendations and Social Distancing Guidelines, which may affect logistics and “normal” operating procedures. All attendees are responsible for their own personal protective equipment and for making their own decisions regarding attendance at our events. We are asking that when parking in the pits, leave extra space between race cars and please to do not gather in groups and do not travel from pit stall to pit stall. Race teams are limited to 10 people per team and this will be monitored at the Pit check-in building when signing in. 

All pit fans, crew members and drivers will be required to remain in the pit area for the entire event, this means no crossing over to the grandstands or terrace. We are sectioning off Section F of the grandstands for seating for all pit fans, this will be the furthest you can go towards the main building. When seated, please maintain proper social distance between yourself and other groups. Pit Stop catering will be on hand for pit area concessions.
